Five Down - One to Go

Jenny had her 5th treatment on Monday. Again, the treatment itself was uneventful.

At her oncology appointment on Friday, Dr. Smith said that she would need a transfusion because her hemoglobin was just 83 on the previous blood test. The doctor said that if it rose higher than 90 (normal is 105 - 120) they would cancel it.

Well wouldn't you know it, on Sunday the result was 97. That is the first it has been that high in quite awhile.
So - they will likely do it in 2 weeks, depending on the blood tests. She is being sent for blood work to prepare for it. If it is low again, and we are predicting it will be, it will sure help her to feel a lot better.

She has been feeling pretty well since the treatment, again this time pretty energetic from the drugs, but is now starting to fade. So the next few days will likely involve quite a lot of sleeping and feeling a bit yuk.

This Sunday we head back to Parksville to stay in Donna and Tony's condo again, as we did in February. That will be a welcome break as it was then. Thank you Donna and Tony!

We will write another post from there.
