3 Down, 3 To Go
Today Jenny had her third chemo treatment - the halfway mark.
It sure is a different experience from last year, between the new cocktail and the mistletoe.
Because they are not adding other drugs to the mix, she is staying alert throughout the process. At one point today, she said she wanted to go for a walk, but they said you have to stay within the chemo unit - so she did the circuit there a few times!
We saw the doctor on Friday, and got a very good report. Her CA125 as of February 8, was 35 (normal is below 25). The doctor expects it will be normal next time. Last month it was 84, before that 166, before that 389, before that 416 (October 6). So it is extremely good news that it is coming down and it means the chemo is working. Whew. At some point, before she started chemo, it probably got up way past any of these figures.
She is planning to get some things done in the yard over the next couple of days while she knows she will have energy. May as make hay while the sun shines!
