Monday, December 21

Jenny had her first chemo treatment today. It was far less complicated than the ones she had last year.
Some of the things that were put in first, before the actual chemo drugs last time really affected her (Benadryl for instance), were not in it this time.
This time she did not feel any differently throughout the treatment, which took just over 2 hours.
She has been home for a few hours now, and feels perfectly fine so far.

Now, however, we wait for the nausea etc. But - if it knocks down the cancer, that is the main thing.
At least this time we know what to expect, and what kind of foods to have on hand.

I will once again be the police in terms of visits and whatnot, but timing the visits with her vulnerable times (re her immunity), washing all items  - cans, jars, everything from a store - as they come into the house, vigilant handwashing etc, helps to keep her away from getting sick.

I will post here regularly.
