Friday, June 10

Today Jenny had another drain. The nurse has now decided to move to Monday, Wednesday and Friday for the drains. Even though the 2 litre maximum was taken off, there was some left. Jenny actually felt some pressure before the drain, whereas she used to feel it not until about day 8 or so. It was not bad, but she knew it was there.

Our good friends Sandy and Marg (you may have heard of them before with respect to our bridge tournaments) came to stay with Jenny while I went to the airport to pick up Rob, back from her mini holiday. They stayed for the afternoon, and in fact brought and cooked dinner. Did I ever enjoy that meal! The topper was the fresh strawberries, chocolate bundt cake, and ice cream for dessert. Thank you Marg and Sandy!

All in all she had a pretty good day. We are blessed in that she has no pain and no ongoing nausea. So many suffer with one or both of them. Jenny has her times of upchucking which nearly rips her apart, and totally exhausts her. Fortunately it is preceeded by only a very short period of nausea.

She is extremely tired, and I would say a little more so as the weeks pass. Her spirits are good however, and she feels peaceful.

I will post again on Monday or before.
