Tuesday, June 28

It has been fairly quiet around here  for a couple of days, which is a good thing. Well - it did get a bit more active when Carl came last night with our two favourite little kids. We needed our tolilet flusher fixed, so Carl recruited his friend Sandy, who we know very well also, to fix it, so he came along as well.

Jenny had her drain yesterday. It took about an hour longer than usual, and she really did not feel very well all day. Today she feels better, though tired. She has had quite a bit of sleep today, which is good.

We had a call today from our wonderful GP. She has been on maternity leave since last October, and will be back this October. She just heard yesterday, on her arrival back from Israel, that Jenny is in palliative care. The long and the short of it is that she is going to come and visit tomorrow, and bring the baby with her.

At the intake meeting for Jenny's second round of chemo at the cancer clinic, she asked if she could come along, since she has a late start on Fridays and works into the evening. Another time, she called Dr. McMurtrie with some questions about Jenny. Dr. McMurtrie couldn't believe it. It is the first time someone's GP has called her to ask questions about their mutual patient.  She is definitely a keeper.

That's about it for now.
