Friday, May 13

It was a very busy day around here today.

Jenny's old friend, Anne Marie McAuley from Halifax is here for a few days, ensconsed in Larry and Joan's trailer in our driveway. It has been great for these two to get together again, though at times we do need to be disciplined about keeping the talking times down!

Sean Ovens, who I call my surrogate son came over from Vancouver alst night and staying with a friend in Victoria. He has been in my life since Peterborough days and he was 14 when we met him, his father and siblings. We moved here in 1979, and when he finished high school in 1980, he followed us here.

Anyway, he came over to help us out and today we had a work bee here with power washing the deck to prepare it for painting, sidewalks, driveway etc, shoring up the back fence, unclogging some downspouts, carpet cleaning. Thank you Anne Marie and Sean!! I was the project manager and Jenny rested and got frequent reports on the progress.

Jenny is getting very uncomfortable now since it is just 3 days before her next drain. It has been building up for a few days. Otherwise, there has not been much discernable change.

We heard last night that Jenny's neice Robyn is coming over on May 28, just 2 more weeks. I have talked to her several times lately and we are very pleased that she has made the decision to come. She is the daughter of Jenny's eldest brother Jim, who passed away in 2006.

Her other brother who died was Peter, and that was at New Years of 2010.

Anne Marie is here until Monday.

Bye for now.
